Born and raised in Perth, Australia, Tony joined the Mason Canter Group upon its inception after enjoying successful careers in journalism and motion picture entertainment.
Tony played a key role in building Mason’s new real estate powerhouse at Keller Williams Los Feliz, helping Mason to quickly accomplish the new venture’s goal of generating over $100 million in gross sales while at the same time designing and implementing the group’s initial business, technology, marketing, and financial management platforms.
Today, Tony oversees business development and day-to-day operations at the Mason Canter Group, ensuring that every aspect of each deal – from marketing to property inspections to compliance – is micro-managed to completion. Adept in managing voluminous amounts of transaction documentation, Tony is dedicated to making sure that there are no hidden surprises for the clients in the fine print! He also plays a crucial role in the client experience, ensuring that Mason’s team is at all times responding to client needs in the sales, acquisitions and research domain. In tandem with Mason, Tony recruits new business and oversees a team of in-house lead generators.
A true numbers and technology wonk, Tony’s expertise and passion lies in evaluating, underwriting and researching properties to determine their true value and potential in one of the most dynamic markets in the world. His exuberance for developing value and forecasting models has inspired him to customize computer software to create unique tools aimed at allowing Mason Canter clients to make better-informed decisions on the future of their properties.
Tony was an award-winning senior staff writer for Australian newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald and worked in Europe and the United Kingdom for publications including The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail and news service Associated Press. After relocating to the U.S. in 1995, Tony entered the film industry, becoming a producer for Academy Award-nominated writer/director/producer Steve Oedekerk (Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, The Nutty Professor and Bruce Almighty) during a four-year stint at Steve’s production company O Entertainment. Tony has also produced/line produced award-winning feature films, including American Cowslip (distributed by Warner Bros), Intoxicating and Sweet Thing to name a few.
Tony lives in Hollywood Hills, overlooking the city. During his free time, Tony enjoys travel, aquatic sports, Australian Rules Football (“footie”), reading history and listening to music (especially The Who).
